    • Can I submit events? - Absolutely.  As a matter of fact, I would prefer that people and organizations start submitting their own events.  By submitting your own events, you can make sure the description is exactly how they like it.

I see an error.  How can I let you know so that it can be corrected or deleted? - Please use our change request form.  That's the fastest way.  You can always email or call us too.  The information is on our Contact page.

Who created this site and why? - The site was create by me, Cyrus Lendvay.  I am a Sunnyvale resident who has been working to be a better contributing member of the community.  I've always wished there was a decent site I could go to to find out what's happening in Sunnyvale and surrounding areas.  In January 2010, I felt that the community was finally ready and decided to get it done.

Will it ever cost me anything to use SunnyvaleCalendar.org? - God I hope not.  My intention is to create a completely free site that people and organizations can use for free.  I do, however, plan to get sponsors occasionally to help defray the costs of running the site.  So, you may see a little advertizing from time to time, but you'll never be charged to post anything or to get information from the calendar.

What are some other ways I can follow the events on SunnyvaleCalendar.org? - There are a few ways.  Most of the events are also posted to our Twitter Account as they are approved.  If you follow that, you'll have a really good idea of what's happening in the city.  But, the most powerful way to follow us (other than coming to our site directly) is to use our "rss feed"capability.  If you use a news reader (like reader.google.com, newsgator.com, or my.yahoo.com), you can subscribe to one of many rss feeds on our site.  You can even do a custom search and the site will create a custom rss feed associated with that search.  Do a Google search for "Beginners guide to rss" and you should find some great resources on how to do this.  You can also just go to http://reader.google.com to learn more.

How can I help? - There are a couple ways you can help.
      1. First, the best thing you can do is tell people about our site.  When talking to your friends and colleagues about some event, tell them you found it on SunnyvaleCalendar.org.
      2. Post some of the events to your social networking sites.  Each event has buttons that will help you easily post to Twitter, Facebook, blogs, etc.  Share the events you think people want to know about.
      3. Post events.  If you know there's an event coming up and you don't see it on the site, please add it to the calendar.  Just click "Submit Event" at the top of the calendar.
      4. Have people in your organization post here.  If you're associated with an organization, tell the communications person about our site.  Have them make it part of their process when new events are planned.  It'll help us and get more exposure for your site.
